The Bohr Cell Model:
Niels Bohr's cell model is one that people continue to use even today. It states that different rings surrounding the nucleus can hold certain amounts of electrons. For example, in the first level of a Bohr Model, there may only be 2 electrons. In all other surrounding layers, however, there can be up to eight. If a chemical has eight electrons in its outer level, than it is considered a noble element. This means that no matter what, that element can not be combined with another.

Random Stuff/Facts...

“The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth.”

won the 1922 Nobel Prize for physics

got his doctorate in 1911 from University of Copenhagen

after^^^ went to learn from Ernest Rutherford

1913- published a theory that was a development on previous theories issued by Ernest Rutherford and it suggested that outer "rings" could hold more than inner "rings

Summary of Niels Bohr:

During the spring of 1912 he work in Manchester with Professor Ernest Rutherford. Also in 1912, Niels Bohr married Margethe Norlund, with whom, he had six children.
